This book is composed from the words of Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi spoken in various countries such as United Kingdom, Spain, Switzerland, Italy, India, France, and Australia. These speeches were given between 1979 and 1996. This book serves as an inspiration to seek the Truth, choose the correct Path, and to make ascent a priority.
Here, we are sharing a quote from each chapter of this book.
Chapter 1: You are a Seeker
“As a fruit has become ripe, it then separates from the tree and becomes an individual. Through the seeds of this fruit, other trees can grow. Otherwise, if it is raw and it says, “I am an individual,” it is spoiled. It is of no use. It has not matured.” [Page 11]
Chapter 2: Love is Truth
“The best is to fall in love with your Self. Self means your Spirit. It is a love which is divine, a love which is nourishing, a love that looks after you.” [Page 29]
Chapter 3: We want the Truth
“If there are plastic flowers, there has to be real flowers, otherwise how would they copy?” [Page 41]
Chapter 4: Know your Path
“If the tree becomes so big that the roots are not nourishing it - and it has no knowledge of the roots- then the tree will be destroyed. … The roots are our nerves. …
So if anything is to happen to us as a discovery of truth, it is that we should have a new awareness on our central nervous system.” [Page 55]
Chapter 5: Ascent is the Priority
“The awareness of the human beings has to rise higher. You have to become something much more than what you are. This is what is Self-realization.
All the chaos of the world and all the problems of human beings are very simply because they do not know themselves.” [Page 65]
Chapter 6: Know Your Self
“… just as every instrument has to be prepared first of all and put to the mains so that the electricity starts flowing through it and starts manifesting.
In the same way, your instrument has been created so beautifully and the electricity, that they call as the divine power of the love of God, has to flow through you. To connect you to that power very beautifully, God Almighty has placed this energy of Kundalini within you.
This is the power of divine love.”
[Page 85]
Conclusion
“Look at these flowers, how delicate they are.
It rains or sometimes it is too sunny.
But the flowers, they stand up to that
because they have faith in the tree on which they are born.
That is the strength-giving thing.”
